How to use Gmail as your SMTP server
- In your email client software, under Outgoing mail, set the SMTP server to smtp.google.com .
- Set the your username is yourgooglemailname@gmail.com and make sure Use username and password is checked.
- Also check off TLS under Use secure connection.
Send group e-mails via GMail
- Log in to your GMail account, and create a new contact.
- Enter the name of the group you want to make in the Name: field.
- Now in the E-mail: field, enter all the e-mail addresses you want in the group, enclosed in brackets, and separated with commas like so: , and so on.
